About Wildcat Mattress

A small business with a big family

Built From a Leap of Faith. Grown Like a Family.

Wildcat Mattress started with one semi-load of mattresses and a determination to take care of family. The people who helped open the doors are still here, helping Central Kentucky sleep better.

One Semi-Load, a Warehouse, and a Reason to Keep Going

At 27, Wildcat Mattress founder Casey Sasek bought a semi-load of mattresses on a whim. His brother had recently suffered a stroke, and Casey needed a way to help support his family.

He put the mattresses in a warehouse and started selling them however he could—sign shakers catching passing traffic, newspaper ads, Craigslist, and honest conversations with anyone who walked through the door.

AJ and Robert Workman joined almost immediately. They have been part of the Wildcat Mattress family ever since. Today, Robert is Wildcat’s General Manager and the primary driver of the day-to-day business, working alongside AJ to carry forward the same honest, people-first approach on which Casey founded the company.

“We never built this around sales commissions or smoke and mirrors. We built it around helping people.”

A Local Business Should Show Up for Its Community

Since 2010, Wildcat has tried to give back to the communities that made this family business possible.

  • Mattress fundraisers for school football teams, bands, and other student programs

  • Long-term jobs for local families and friends
  • Treating customers like neighbors, because they are
For us, community involvement is not a campaign. It is part of being a good neighbor.
