Extra Firm

An extra firm mattress typically does not have an abundance of comfort foams or extra padding in the top layer of the mattress. They are usually the hardest option of a bedding line and they will have the least amount of give, meaning you are less likely to sink into an extra firm mattress versus a softer choice. An extra firm mattress usually has a thicker gage coil unit to make it more firm than other plush mattresses. The thicker coil also makes an extra firm mattress less susceptible to having body impression issues.
